Limited Scope X-Ray Technician Position at AFC Urgent Care Denver

Objective : Greet and register patients, handle front office administrative tasks and back office. To perform all diagnostic x-rays and assist in the care of patients.


Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • Assist in-patient care including
  • Greet patients in a professional, warm, friendly and calm manner
  • Perform patient registration (enter in DocuTap, verify insurance, collect copays, check outstanding balances, etc.)
  • Direct patients to available examination rooms and ensure rooms are set up based on patient initial complaint
  • Take vital signs
  • Document patient data
  • Assist provider – Discharge patients from room with instructions
  • Ensure each room is cleaned after each patient encounter
  • Ensure patient flow is speedy and organized
  • Ensure the x-ray equipment is operationally maintained
  • Ensure that monitoring badges of all x-ray staff are kept up to date

Job Description

To accurately check patients in and out by verifying insurance, collecting payments, and maintaining patient records and accounts. Maintain patient flow. Provide positive patient relations.

Primary Responsibilities (including, but not limited to):

  • Prepare the clinic for opening each day by reviewing the facility, opening all systems applications, and preparing new patient registration packets and required documents
  • Greet patients, provide patients initial paperwork, and obtain copies of insurance and identification cards.
  • Register patients, update patient records, and verify insurance accurately and timely
  • Follow company procedures related to workers’ compensation and occupational medicine patients

Objective: Accession Samples, Perform testing, releasing results, other laboratory tasks.

Primary Responsibilities:

  •  Accept the results of calibrators and quality controls
  • Start an instrument that was not previously running to test patient samples.
  • Perform an activity that alters the original matrix, such as mixing in another substance.
  • Perform any activity (other than waived) that directly generates a patient result.
  • Release results from an LIS or EHR system for the doctor or caregiver to make medical decisions.
  • Report critical (life-threatening) results.
  • Performs all lab assistant responsibilities.
